Are you interested in receiving training to support someone who has a life-limiting illness?
Self directed option:
You can take this course as a stand-alone learning exercise to help you personally learn how to help the sick and dying or learn about the process of what to expect during the dying process, and how to offer hope, purpose, and meaning in this journey.
If you or your family have been given a life changing diagnosis and are looking for help and support in this situation, we feel for you, and hope that the course blesses your situation and inspires the best journey full of hope and with the fewest regrets.
We’d love to hear from you if it helped your situation, and maybe one day you would love to journey beside others going through this situation, so stay in touch and sign up to the newsletter.
If you complete the course and later want to change your mind by integrating into the “Network Builder” pathway then feel free to contact us to discuss this process.
Hope Supporter option:
Hub of Hope NZ wants to build a network of people who can support the sick and dying, these people we have called “Hope Supporters.”
Becoming a Hope Supporter might be someone who has a close family member or friend who has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. Or, a Hope Supporter might see the need in the community for someone to be a spiritual support for those who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and be willing to serve their community in this way.
The Hope Supporter, in partnership with the HOH and their community, will be empowered to better support those around them.
If this sounds like you, then please sign up for the “Network Builder Course”
Hope Champions:
Hope Champions are made up of people who have completed the Full online course and have been shoulder-tapped by Hub of Hope to see if they would run the course alongside an existing Champion, before taking on the training and mentoring role of Champion themselves.
The Hope Champion role will include mentoring and helping serve the Hope Supporters in their community by providing logistics, supervision, and wellbeing support. A Hope Champion might currently be a Pastor, Priest, Champlin, community, or ministry leader, but they must be endorsed by their faith community to serve in the role and become the Hub of Hope contact person for their community.
The journey toward becoming a Hope Champion begins with signing up for the “Network Builder Course” and becoming a Hope Supporter.
Please let us know about your interest in this role on your application to take the “Network Builder Course”
